The story behind

Myristica is an annual Ecological Festival organized in connection with the 'United Nations International Decade of Biodiversity' (2011- 2020). During the years 2016-2020, the event was organized in collaboration with the Malabar Natural History Society (MNHS), an independent NGO engaged in nature education, research and conservation in the state of Kerala. Myristica seeks to invoke the green spirit of the youngsters in the state and thereby reinstate Kerala's glorious past. It also aimed to offer a unique experience rooted in contemporary visual art and technological marvels, and a platform to showcase and debate the latest scientific and artistic experiences of international relevance by promoting discussions among environmentalists, students, and the public. The concluding (fourth) season of Myristica - the State Level Ecological Festival held on 23rd January 2020. Prof. T. Shobeendran addressed the concluding ceremony.
